So I thought 150lb(cos30)(4ft)-F(4/5)(2ft)=350lb*ft But apparently no....where am i going wrong?
what is couple moment? torque?
2 parallel forces that have the same magnitude but opposite directions....example when you turn a steering wheel.....one hand pushes up on a wheel while the other pulls dosn....
not trying to be dense, but couple moment isn't a phrase I'm familiar with, so if it's two parallel forces equal in magnitude and opposite in direction, isn't it zero? or does it have something to do with distance from the axis of rotation to the forces?

and yes the sum of the moments=0 but the M=Fd
so it is torque.
"Couple" is not a standard term.
well when i think of torque i don't think of constant velocity or bodies at rest.
Used in this context. I was expecting something like nuclear chemistry, or EE, but I've never heard it used like this before.
