What happens to the temperature during the time when ice is still present in the water? What happens to the temperature after all of the ice has melted?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

temperature remains constant when you are adding heat to a mixture of water and ice, because all of the energy is being put towards melting the ice (32F or 0C). Once the ice has completely melted, the energy goes towards warming the liquid water further. Temp stays constant again when you change states of matter because you are breaking some intermolecular forces from solid to liquid and all intermolecular forces when going from liquid to gas.
