Simple Chem Question! NaOH + H2SO4 -> H2O + NaHSO4 The net ionic equation for this molecular equation was H+ + OH- = H2, meaning that H2SO4 needed to break up into H+ and HSO4-. I thought that H2SO4 breaks up into 2H+ and SO42-... Why does it break up like H+ and HSO4-?? (There were no moles of acid/base told on the question..)

it probably has to deal with how h2so4 looks like

the h2 isn't bonded to one element

H ions can only be broken up one at a time
