OpenStudy (aaronq):

0.0087 x 58.93 g/mol = 0.5126 g/mol idk this is the only thing i can think of

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, obviously it's got to contain at least one cobalt atom, right? And one cobalt atom weighs 58.9332 g/mol. So if that represents 0.870% of the total mass of the protein, the latter would be 58.9332/0.00870 = 6.774 x 10^3 g/mol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bah, sorry. I typed one more digit than is significant: 6.77 x 10^3 g/mol, or 6.77 kDa.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

one mole of cobalt atoms weighs 58.93 not one atom.
