For the given cost function C(x)=250sqrt(x)+(x^2/15625) find a) The cost at the production level 1700 = 10492.72406 b) The average cost at the production level 1700 c) The marginal cost at the production level 1700 d) The production level that will minimize the average cost. e) The minimal average cost.
Do you conceptually understand Production Functions/Curves, and just need help doing the computation, or do you need conceptual help too.
both please. I dont know what functions to use to find b-e
Without the actual problem/graph/other given information, I can't really help you with the computational part (also because in my class, we have just finished covering the topic conceptually, and haven't started using numbers). B and C I cannot give concrete help on. C I assume is the derivative of your given cost function, so you would derive it, and substitute in 1700. D and E are related. Both describe the point where average total cost (ATC) and the marginal cost (MC) curve meet (MC=ATC). D is asking for the quantity at this point, E is asking for the price at this point. Sorry for not being able to actually compute things. Hope this helped!
