OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the electronegativity of ch4

OpenStudy (aaronq):

a measurement of electronegativity is of a single atom within a molecule, electronegativity does not apply to all to whole molecules. BUT molecules can have dipole moments which is the difference in electronegativity between 2 atoms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Methane, CH4, the simplest organic compound, contains covalent bonds. Carbon has four valence electrons, while hydrogen has one valence electron. By sharing these outer-shell electrons, carbon and hydrogen complete their valence shells and become more stable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this does not apply here, i e., electronegativity
