How is this equation balanced? HClO + Mg(OH)2 = Mg(ClO4)2 + H2O

I don't think you can based on the reactants and products you have. Is there a reason why you have Mg(ClO4)2 in the products and not Mg(ClO)2. This would represent a double displacement reaction where the cations and anions of the reactants switch who they are paired with.
