What is the balaned equation for NaCl (aq)+AgNO^3 (aq)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The AgCl precipitates and becomes solid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it will become -> AgCl(s) + NaNO(aq)

HI! You can always think of reaction of this type this way... write them as AB+CD->AD+BC The Na+ cation combines with the polyatomic nitrate NO3- to become sodium nitrate on the left and then the silver Ag+ cation combines with the Chloride Cl- anion to become silver chloride! To keep it simple, just remember AB+CD->AD+BC ! Hope this helps! :o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can also write them as AB+CD->BC+AD...it doesn't really matter! :o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and make sure you put in the states as well solid/aqueous for the answer to be complete

Excellent addition peanutman! Good job! :o)

lol thanks :-)
