how ionization energy changes from N to O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

increases/decreases, why ?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

ionisation energy is the energy required to remove electron from the outer most orbit, so larger the size of atom lesser energy will be required to grab the electron and hence O has less ionisation energy then N, farther the electron from nucleus lesser will be attraction or binding strength between nucleus and electron

OpenStudy (ghazi):

hope that helps you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does thanks you (:
