Try cancelling one term at a time
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I tried cancelling the y term by multiplying the last equation by -2, but that cancels out y but leaves the x and z term with the number of 13
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so I got confused with how to cancel the x or z
OpenStudy (anonymous):
put them in a matrix and row reduce

do you know anything about matrix operations?

just starting to learn that
OpenStudy (anonymous):
not really
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok ill start you off then. take the second term and multiply it by 3. if you do that you will get 6x-18y+6z=9.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then you can make that equal to the third term because they share a common 9
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then solve for y. once you have that sub y into the first equation and solve for either x or z

once you get to this step it shouldn't be to hard to know where to go from there
