I know i have to use the power rule but ive tried it and i cant get it to work out
\[f(x)=(-9x^2-2)^7\times(-2x^2+6)^{10}\] is this the problem? if so, it involves both chain rule and product rule

well, both, at the same time. product rule is f'*g+g'*f so you would have to do the chain rule to find the derivative of the first one and multiply it by the second one and then use the chain rule to find the derivative of the second one and multiply it by the first one the chain rule of (-9x^2-2)^7 is 7(-9x^2-2)*-18x does it make sense how I got to that answer? if it does, now you try
