what type bond does NACI have? (sodium cholride)
An ionic bond.
thank you but I have one more question.
is it a cantion or a antion
Na+ is cation and Cl- is anion
okay thank you :)
it was so simpple question...
1) Sodium chloride is not written as NACl, it is written as NaCl . Even, any compound can not be written in the way you just want ... (unless its true :) ) like : water is written as \(H_2 O\) sodium hydroxide is written as \(NaOH\) Na is itself an element representation (symbol) so O and H is . (I hope you have learnt about them so far) 2) NaCl is an ionic compound because : \(Na^{+} \space and \space Cl^{-}\) are ions and hence they have ionic bond. 3) Na+ is a positive ion so it will be cation. Cl- is a negative ion so it will be anion. Hope this helps, thanks!
