How is CCl4 non polar? it has a tetrahedral shape but the bonds dont cancel out each other to be non polar though...

CCl4 is a symmetric molecule with a regular geometry and hence the vector sum of all the individual bond dipoles cancel each other .... however if any one of the bonds is different then there will be a net dipole moment...
