Determining the stronger acid. HBr vs. HCl I know that HBr is stronger but I don't know how to explain for this or the other problems.

the easier it is to deprotonate (remove H) the stronger the acid. Atomic radius size comes into play, because Br has a larger radius than Cl, it is easier to remove H because it's held less tightly by the nuclear forces of the nucleus.
