***edited*** ***Change the following mixed expression to a fraction*** *For this problem the final answer I got is a^3+1/a^2... I got this by multiplying a^2 by a got a^3... Added the 1 and kept the denominator.... can you tell me whats wrong because my assignment is saying that it is....

\[a+\frac{ 1 }{ a^2 }\] you need a common denominator to add them \[\frac{ a }{1 }+\frac{ 1 }{ a^2 }\] \[\frac{ a }{1 }\frac{ a^2 }{ a^2 }+\frac{ 1 }{ a^2 }\] \[\frac{ a^3 }{a^2 }+\frac{ 1 }{ a^2 }\] \[\frac{ a^3 + 1 }{a^2 }\]

i think u just missed brackets, its (a^3+1)/a^2
