The angle between two vectors is when the vectors are tail to tail. If the resultant vector is perpendicular to the smaller of the two original vectors, then the angle between the original vectors must be an obtuse angle. |dw:1351759895948:dw| In the diagram, let vector u represent the larger, and vector v represent the smaller of the original vectors. Let θ represent the angle between the vectors u and v (when they are tail to tail). Let vector r be the resultant of vectors u and v, such that vector r is perpendicular to the smaller vector v, and the magnitude of vector r is 1/√2 times the magnitude of vector v. @tamanna I ordinarily wouldn't even give out this much information because I'd rather teach you to solve it your self.
