OpenStudy (anonymous):
mole is just a counting number. like, dozen = 12, mole = some number
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
yaa then

like some examples
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thats the concept. to count small particles in relation to mass, we use moles in chemistry
OpenStudy (anonymous):
do u have any specific question
OpenStudy (anonymous):
il have to think of an example...
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
no but i don't understand the formula of mole

forget about the formula. therez no formula. mole is not a theory. its just a number, so we use the number in conversions.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
u wud be okay with mole, if u are familiar with dimensional analysis
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
nope
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
n(mole)=atomic weight/molar mass
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok do u knw below two things :
1) atomic mass
2) molar mass

yaa
OpenStudy (anonymous):
could u tell me what they are
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
atomic mass means the atomic mass (ma) is the mass of a specific isotope, most often expressed in unified atomic mass units
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
the molar mass M is a physical property. It is defined as the mass of a given substance
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
right @sara12345

@sauravshakya
OpenStudy (anonymous):
partially correct.
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
so whats that
OpenStudy (anonymous):
in periodic table, the mass of each element is shown in unit amu, relative to carbon right ?
