Good Morning!!! I need help me with 2 out of 3 Statistic questions... I will appreciate, thanks. :))
it would be useful to us if we could know what the questions are; in order to determine if we are capable of helping out
Sorry, I thought that I attached the question..
you got a ti83? or other statistic calcultor/program?
or are you expected to utilize z tables?
Noo,they won't allow me to use. I have the Ti30x
then you this requires being able to interpret a ztable; and different authors use different setups which makes explaining it a little tough
i believe the only difference between a and b is the b is multiplied by sqrt(n); where n is 30 in this case
Yes I have to use the z table. I know how to do the first part.. but the second which is b) not sure what I am doing wrong..
part a:\[z=\frac{x-mean}{sd}\] part b:\[z=\frac{x-mean}{sd}*\sqrt n\]
hold on let me see if I get it... Please
Ok, question. What happen if I got 7.41, How do I look I the table??
depends on the table :) can you show me a picture of the ztable you are working with?
there should be a left side and a top side the left side should read 7.4; and the top side .01 and where they intersect gives an area; and that area is what is different due to different authros some read it from the mean, others from the left side
everything zscore over 3.9 from the mean can be approximated as .5000
Try this pages 5 and 6.. http://mathematics.gulfcoast.edu/Courses/STA2023/Stat.TablesandFormulas.PDF
ok, your tables measure everything from the left end; so you need the "3.9 and over" value: 9999 and subtract the -1.81 value to get the area inbetween them
So, I should look the -1.81 at the table??
7.41 is greater than 3.9; so everything above 3.9 is equal to .9999 |dw:1351864810002:dw|
