For each answer choice, do this
take the square root of the first and last coefficients
say we're looking at choice A
the square root of 49 is 7, the square root of 16 is 4.
Multiply these two numbers together to get 7*4 = 28, then double it to get 2*28 = 56
Since this result of 56 is NOT equal to the middle coefficient of 28, this means that choice A is NOT a perfect square (so you can eliminate choice A)
