sin(x+pi) is in the third quadrant. in the third quadrant only tan value is positive. pi=180 here sin(x+pi)=-sinx

you can try this using the identity sin(x + pi) = cos(x)sin(pi) + sin(x)cos(pi) sin(pi) = 0 cos(pi) = -1 so you get cos(x)(0) + sin(x)(-1) = -sinx
