A sample of gas has a pressure of 1.5 atm and a volume of 3.5 L, what would be the pressure of this sample of gas if the volume decreases to 2.8 L? Show all of the work used to solve this problem

Boyle's Law states:\[P _{1}V _{1}=P _{2}V _{2}\] so using the information from the problem, \[P _{1}=1.5atm,V _{1}=3.5L,V _{2}=2.8L\]giving the equation\[(1.5atm)(3.5L)=(P _{2})(2.8L)\]when you solve you get \[P _{2}=1.9L\]showing an increase in pressure.
