How do i get rid of this fraction ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\huge \frac{ (sinx-1)-(sinx+1) }{ (sinx+1)(six-1) }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't too much about sin's but don' tyou usually multiply the top and bottom by (sinx+1)(sinx-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so like multiplying by one right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but again I don't really know this stuff so maybe you should wait for more expert advice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, thanks :D

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

you can simplify this denominator = sin^2 x - 1 = - cos^2 x numerator = -2 so we get -2 / - cos^2 x = 2 / cos^2 x = 2 sec^2 x fractions gone!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I was off by a lot
