I don't understand this question. Calculate the weight of 8 gram atom of oxygen.
May be No of moles
weight is a force, grams are units of mass F=mg is the weight.... still a stupid question imo

@TuringTest your solution is very straightforward and simple but I think there is more to this than that. This question came in a worksheet on mole concept.

I just went by the wording of the question... they can't want molar mass since you can find just that on the PT, and it doesn't ask for number of moles. I have no other interpretation for the problem :P
I think the worg 'gram' might have been a printing error because if that word wasn't there, then they are asking us to find the weight of eight oxygen atoms. Also, 8 is a factor of 16(atomic mass of oxygen). Thanks for your help though.
