So we know that for \[y=cos(x)\] the min and max are -1 and 1, respsectively. because we have \[3cos(x)\] instead of \[cos(x)\] our min and max will be 3 times the original. so -3 and 3

this is because we have a vertical scalar of 3.

So if I wanted the x coordinate for max and min would the max be +-2pi and 0 the min be +-pi and the zeros be +- 3pi/2 and +- pi/2?
