limit of tanx as x approaches pi from the left

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

since tan(x) = sin(x)/cos(x), this means that tan(x) = sin(x)/cos(x) tan(pi) = sin(pi)/cos(pi) tan(pi) = 0/(-1) tan(pi) = 0 So the limit of tan(x) as x approaches from the left is 0.
