PLEASE HELP on this finding measure question!!
Is QRST a parallelogram?
@mathstudent55 its a rhombus
Ok a rhumbus is a parallelogram with all sides congruent, so all properties of a parallelogram apply to a rhombus.
Ok. Got cha
@mathstudent55 What are all the angles suppose to add up to INSIDE?
In a polynomial, use the formula (n - 2)180 fro a polynomial of n sides. That's the sum of the measures of all the interior angles. Here you have 4 sides, so the sum is 360 degrees. m<1 = x + 3 m<TQS = 53
m<1 = y = x + 3 Here's one equation: y = x + 3
Now look at triangle TQS. m<1 = y m<2 = y + 1 m<RTQ = 3x + 2 m<TQS = 53 Add all 4 angles above and set equal to 180. That's the second equation.
360. Ok gotcha. I'll try and remember that formula. lol So now, would I just go plug in x + 3 for y?
yes
So take 90 - 53 and you get 37. So angle 1 is 37.
@mathstudent55 So if you go on to 2 -
@mathstudent55 WAIT!!! THEY would both be 37?!?!?!?
I don't get these numbers at all. Are you sure all the angles are labled correctly?
