As a rule of thumb, experts say that most married people should carry ______ times their net pay in life insurance coverage.
Anyone who issues such a rule, without taking into account the age of the couple, whether they have children, a mortage, whether both or only one work, is ipso facto not an expert. If you want serious advice, then I would say you should carry insurance sufficient that the payoff plus your estate minus your debts equals approximately two years of living expenses for all your adult non-disabled working-age dependents, and enough for your children through age 18. If both husband and wife work, and there are no children, then it would be stupid to carry any life insurance at all.
and then for much a time the question remaind un answered till a hero among people came forth to tell those who look up this question......... the answer is 5 :D
