If S=((1,-1,1),(1,1,0)) and is linearly dependente, find a vector that is a linear combination of the sequance S.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well, just adding the vectors together would suffice :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that simple??? why ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

lets call the vectors a and b a linear combination of a and b is of the form: c1 a + c2 b let c1 =1 and c2 = 1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

or, pick any values for c1 and c2 that fit your fancy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1,2

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then what is 1a + 2b = c ; such that c is a linear combination of a and b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i think i get it, i'm working on more exercices of this type thanks for the help

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck :)
