27. A hunter shoots a bullet horizontally from a tree stand at a height of 6.00 meters. The bullet has an initial horizontal velocity 220.0 m/s. The bullet did not hit its intended target and struck the ground. How far did the bullet travel in the horizontal direction? A 220 m B 359 m C 268 m D 244 m
i think its D.. best guess
is that all thats related to the question?
yes, the answer is D and that is all that is related to the ? how did u get that?
kinematic equations.. v^2 = u^2 + 2as
yeah thats what i was trying, i got it thanks yall!
wait what formula did you use after that one?
question is kind of blurry.. U welcome :D
lol. a bullet shot out of a gun will taje the same amount of time to fall as a bullet dropped out from a gun.. so firstly, u have to find the time "t" it takes to reach its final velocity zero (0). then use kinematics to solve for the distance travelled.
okayy cool! i got it thanks
at least i did it some way and i got the answer
Thank you! :)
lol np
|dw:1354765692665:dw| well this problem is going to bother me for the rest of the night. I can only get a as my answer it seems, but I know this is incorrect.
ill show u what i did then maybe it wont bother u as much! but omg thanks for spending all that time and hard work on it
yes if you could please show me your solution that would put my mind at ease
sure thing! its a bit confusing though
beautiful and obvious now that I see it. thanks for the solution.
