When trying to isolate a particular variable, first subtract from both sides all of the other terms that are being added on the same side as the variable you care about. For example, if you have\[a \times b + c \times d = e \times f + g\] and you're trying to solve for a. First you would subtract away the c * d term, like so: \[a \times b + c \times d - c \times d = e \times f + g - c \times d\]\[a \times b = e \times f + g - c \times d\] Then you want to divide both sides by any coefficients that are being multiplied by the variable you care about (in this case the coefficient is b). So you would then write this \[\frac{ a \times b }{ b }=\frac{ e \times f + g - c \times d }{ b }\]\[a=\frac{ e \times f }{ b }+\frac{ g }{ b }+\frac{ c \times d }{ b }\] You should be able to follow along with what I did for your problem, but if you have any problems let me know.
