A 0.104-m x 0.248-m x 0.433-m block is suspended from a wire and is completely under water. What buoyant force acts on the block?

If you figure out the volume by multiplying the lengths of the sides, then the buoyant force will be equivalent to the weight of the water displaced: this is 9.8Newtons per kg multiplied by the volume in litres (since one litre of water has mass of 1kg. Alternatively, figure it out in cubic metres then use the fact that a cubic metre of water has mass 1000kg.
