how many halves can you take from each candy so that you always have 3 of each?
OpenStudy (ghazi):
\[1\frac{ 1 }{ 2}=\frac{ 2*1+1 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }\] similarly 2 1/4= 9/4 and she adds 1/2 cup of peppermint so total of \[\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }+\frac{ 9 }{ 4 }+\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 6+9+2 }{ 4 }=\frac{ 17 }{ 4 }\]
\[\frac{ 1 }{ 2 } \] cups in one bag so
1 cup in 1/1/2= 2 bags
there fore 17/ cups in 17/4 * 2 = 8.5 bags or you can say 9 bags

lemme read all of that.
OpenStudy (ghazi):
sure
