Can someone help, I need to find an equation for this graph.
asinx a is the highest amplitude
Period is double, will have to work out, its not simply asinx.
3sin(t/2)
i dont think so one complete cycle is done in 2pi
I believe its 4pi for the graph, one complete cycle is one up and one down.
nop one complete cycle is done in 2pi
its a sin wave and its done in 2pi it same like circle one complete round is 2pi
this is why i am confused, lol
You can have a sinusoid that ossicaltes faster/slower, which changes the period.
ya i know .. u cant answer right if u dont know how the normal regular wave looks like
You can plug the numbers in and work it out, shouldnt be too hard, asinx wouldnt work in this case either way.
i know but one period is comeplete in 2 pi not 4 pi
its periodic with two pi, and so is, 3sin(t/2) or x in this case.
it however oscilates faster
ok sorry read the graph wrong.
couldnt saw where the 2pi is
yup, no probs
And it ossilates slower in this case, not faster, a correction on what I said previously.
so is it y=3sin(5x) ? or am I way off?
nope just y= 3sin(x/2)
try plugging in numbers as well, that should help you see it better. Otherwise because it is slower than a reguar sinusoidal, you can simply put in the half there.
ah, thank you.
yup no problem
