Try to plug 1,2,3,4 in your rule,
For n=1, 7n-2 = 7-2=5
For n=2, 7n-2 = 14-2 = 12
etc, and you'll find out that the first number of this sequence, beginning with a 5, goes up of 7 everytime, so 5,12,19,26,33,40 and so on.
