1. What type of a reaction will produce only a compound? 2. What type of a reaction will produce an element and a compound? 3. Why are combustion reactions different than any other reaction type?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phi @ghazi @zepp

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have these so far: 1.synthesis 2.decomposition

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk if they're right though :\

OpenStudy (zepp):

Synthesis is correct, but not decomposition, decomposition means to decompose into elements; Combustion ALWAYS need oxygen on the reactant side and ALWAYS releases heat.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is O2 a compound?

OpenStudy (zepp):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey yummy dum dum: synthesis is correct:) and O2 isnot a compound because, it only states there's more then 1 element, and since it's only 1 element that's the sme that doesn't work. Also you asked why Combution is diff. from the others because, combusiont always ends in H2+CO2. Alwasy always always

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh oppss lol meant yummy dum not dum dum lol SORRY!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
