A SMALL BOB IS IN CONTACT WITH THE WEDGE AND THE ROD HOLDING THE BOG IS LIGHT AND VERTICALLY INITIALLY. NOW THE BOB IS DISPLACED AND THE SYSTEM STARTS MOVING. THE BOB AND WEDGE LOOSE CONTACT WHEN ANGLE BETWEEN HORIZONTAL AND ROD IS 30. FIND THE ACCELERATION OF THE WEDGE AT THIS INSTANT.

1) first equate the angular acc of the bob with that of wedge in the horizontal direction 2) write f=ma eq for both the objects 3)use energy conservation i.e. from 90degrees to 30 degrees for bob....and another energy coservation or difference in KE for Wedge 4) 3 eqs ...3 unknowns ... This is the only method i got
Acceleration of the wedge at the instant the bob loses contact with it must be 0 since after it loses contact, there is no force acting on the wedge any more. So acceleration would be zero. But you could try calculating the speed of the wedge at that instant (which will not be zero)
