You can rewrite the equation log 25 - log 3a = log5^2-log3a From given information log 3=0.477 a=3^0.477 Try it from here

I'm not sure how to continue...

OpenStudy (kropot72):

(a) \[\frac{\log_{a} 25}{\log_{a} 3a}=\frac{2\log_{a} 5}{\log_{a} 3+\log_{a} a}\] \[\log_{a} a=1\] Now you just need to substitute the given values into the right hand side of the first equation above to find the answer. Can you do that?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

\[\frac{2\times 0.699}{0.477+1}=You\ can\ calculate\]
