i'm here

OpenStudy (ghazi):

\[KMnO _{4}+FeSO _{4}+H _{2}SO _{4}-->MnSO _{4}+Fe _{2}(SO _{4})_{3}+K _{2}SO _{4}+H _{2}O\] this one , please help me in balancing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay well first you should split the things up and see how many of it you have, for example: K=1 Mn=1 O=12 Fe=1 S=2 (these are the products) and the reactants are: Mn=1 S=5 Fe=2 H=2 O=17.... Can you tell me which one's are already balanced??

OpenStudy (ghazi):

well i thought we need to balance ions first , by breaking MnO4 ion and so on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.. that's not it at all, you're making it more difficult.. The coeffients are the bottom numbers, Here I'll draw it for you hold on

OpenStudy (ghazi):

first of all i guess we need to see to which one is reduced and which one is oxidised and so on :(

OpenStudy (ghazi):

okay please balance it :)
