When you multiply terms with the same base, you ADD the exponents. You can think of the blue term as being raised to the 1st power.\[\huge \color{#3399AA}{(2x-1)^{1+1/2}}\]See how we added them? Which gives us,\[\huge \color{#3399AA}{(2x-1)^{3/2}}\]
