Find a numerical value of one trigonometric function of csc x if sec x cot x = 4.? HELP...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(secx)(cotx)=4 (1/cosx)(cosx/sinx)=4----cancel out cosx by cosx u left with 1/sinx=4 cscx=4 that's it!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan x/cot x - sec x/cos x = 2/csc x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so much...but could you help me with that one???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@neba.zi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok wait minite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I have to find the value of sin x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look cotx=1/tanx& cosx=1/secx substiute this valu the u will get tan2x-sec2x=2sinx----then divide by2 both sides to find the valu of sinx(2 shows as square)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 2^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or sqr2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes sqr2 the answer is (tanSqrx-secsqrx)/2 i think it is!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pleasure but is the value of sinx simply a number or.....I doubt sorry
