Can someone please answer, I have absolutely no idea! The image is linked. An atom of a fictional element has the energy level diagram shown below. Which line will not appear on the total emission spectrum? http://media.education2020.com/EVresources/GizmoQuestions/EL_MSCH_BohrHyd4.gif A. 0.9 eV B. 0.8 eV C. 0.7eV D. 0.6 eV

I think answer is D. when an electron in a certain level emits electromagnetic radiation it'll decrease to the lower energy level.. n(6) - n(4) = 0.9 eV n(4) - n(3) = 0.8 eV n(5) - n(4) = 0.7 eV but there is no 0.6 eV energy level difference..so answer should be D
