You're still asking. It is time for you to stop asking and start telling. Look at my five examples and then answer the question.

All of these sequences have a first term of 3 and the indicated common ratio: Common Ratio of 2 3, 6, 12, 24... Common ratio of 5 3, 15, 75... Common Ratio of 7 3, 21, 147, ... Notice how the first term has nothing at all to do with the common ratio. The common ratio is the relationship between successive term.

Well, that's a bit of a different problem. If your definition of "Geometric Series" includes Complex Numbers, then it IS. If it has to be Real Numbers, then it is NOT.

That's just one piece of the series. You need to look at the ratio of the first and second compared to the ratio of the second and third to see if it's a geometric series. There are no complex numbers here @tkhunny the "i" used here is the index.
