Describe what happened when you combined Ag+ and Na2S. What does this indicate?

I found that AgNO3 (notice the nitrate) + Na2S IN AQUEOUS solution gives Ag2S as precipitate. The nitrate and sodium IONs stay dissolved in the water.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The NO3- and Na+ become spectators NOT involved in the reaction.
