So, this is a projectile motion question. Since you are only looking for the maximum height, you only have to worry about the vertical motion of the ball. If the ball is kicked with an angle of sixty-five degrees to the horizontal, the initial vertical speed of the ball is 82 ft/s * sin(65) = 74.3172 ft/s. Earth's gravity is 32.17 ft/s^2 The total time it takes for the ball to come to reach its highest point is 74.3172 ft/s /32.17 ft/s^2 = 2.31 seconds. d = vt - 0.5at^2 v = 74.3172 t = 2.31 a = 32.17 so d = 85.8415635 feet.
