I don't wanna just throw the answers at you. But I can talk about each question, and give you small hints. ~~~~~~ 13. There are a lot of fat Americans. It's a problem. And it's really not getting any better. ~~~~~~~~~~ 14. Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder. Many people with anorexia are overly concerned with having a perfect image. They have irrational standards for themselves. They believe that they are ugly, and socially unacceptable. They often experience anxiety, a fear that people all around them judge them in a negative light. These patterns of "maladaptive thought" (bad thoughts) all happen in the mind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 15. People with ANOREXIA nervosa tend to eat very, very little, because they're afraid of gaining weight. People with BULIMIA nervosa tend to eat normal, sometimes large, amounts, and then make themselves vomit it all up, because they're also afraid of gaining weight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 16. If you're anywhere from 19 to 30 years old, and you're a relatively active FEMALE, then you ought to take in about 2,200 calories per day. 4,000 is a frikkin LOT of calories. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 17. The Energy Balance Equation basically helps see what happens with all the food that we eat, and all the energy that we take in. Energy is store in our bodies as mass. And our weight is affected by our mass. So, if you adjust your energy balance equation, you'll be able to see how many calories you should eat per day, if you want to stay at a certain weight.
