what do you mean? separately?
Yeah. from 0-2pi I understand that the inverse sine of 1 is 90. But since to domain of sine is from -1 to 1, how do I solve sin(x)=3?
This is in RADians?
Yeah.
so it would actually be pi/2 , not 90, right?

grd 12 advd functions right? I can't remember.
did this have a diagram of some sort? A unit circle?
No, the original question was: find all real solutions to the equation sin^2(x)-4sin(x)+3=0 for 0<x<2pi. and I solved that down to sin(x)=3 and sin(x)=1. Don't know what to do with that sin(x)=3.
maximum value of sin x =1, it can never =3
so the only real answer would be pi/2?

so, you take only sin x=1 yes!
THANK YOU BOTH!
welcome ^_^
