From experience I know that whenever I see the "-" then "+" pattern I know the factor is going to have the form ( - )( - ). The only way to get the first term is to have a 3b and a b so lets go ahead and put that in. (3b - )(b - )

Now we need to think about how to get the last two terms. First we need to find the factors of 2. That is simple, its just 1 and 2. So we know that they go in the empty spots, but where? We need to think how they can add to get -5. 3*-1 + -2 is -5 perfect. b(3b - 2)(b - 1) don't forget the b that we have out in front
