I used the chain rule. You have y = (something) raised to some power (in this case 6). The chain rule says find the derivative of what's inside (in this case the derivative of x^2 + 2x + 5, which is (2x + 2). Then you take the power (in this case 6) multiply it by the original "something" which was (x^2 + 2x + 6), and then take the exponent (6) and decrease it by 1 which is how you end up with (2x+2)6(x^2 + 2x +6)^5. Yes thank you so much! I kept forgetting to derive the u^6 I use u for the chain rule i was just deriving the whole thing I had 6(x^2+2x+5)^5
