Hey hey hey all you smart people :D a little help with Chemistry? You have to write a formula and balanced equation. The reaction in which aqueous solutions of sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide react to form aqueous sodium sulfate and water at room temperature
H2SO4 + 2 NaOH -> Na2SO4 + 2 H20
Thanks! But do you know an easy way to get those coefficients? Because I'm confused....
in this case was simple, u need to put first the basis -> H2SO4 + NaOH = Na2SO4 + H2O
dont I make what about S04 oxidation number? Dont I brake it apart to be S-1 O-4?
to set the equation you have to see if the number of all elements are equal at both sides
They dont
so what missing?
But dont I brake SO4 apart?
in your question you say it forms sodium sulfate (Na2SO4)
Oh right! If its on the products side as well as the reactants side then I leave it alone right?
hmm, yes.
But when I line them up there not balanced....
