1. A sample of gas under a pressure of 622 kPa has a volume of 233 cm3. The pressure is increased to 988 kPa, while the temperature remains constant. What volume will the gas occupy at this pressure?

I would say that the volume will be proportionally less given the increase in pressure - the P1times V1 will be equal to the P2 times V2 if P1 is the initial pressure and V1 is the initial volume and P2 is the final pressure and V2 the final volume. Hope this helps,
